ARCH is accepting nominations for this year’s ARCHie Awards and Endangered List!

Have you seen a great preservation project in Fort Wayne lately? If so, nominate it for an ARCHie!

Since 1977 ARCH has annually recognized the preservation efforts of individuals and institutions in Allen County for their efforts in Historic Preservation. Members of the public are encouraged to send nominations for outstanding preservation work. Any nominated project must have had exterior restoration work that is visible to the general public, have been completed in the past calendar year, and must be located in Allen County. ARCHIE Awards outstanding single family, multifamily and commercial restoration projects as well as organizational or institutional projects that have shown exceptional preservation efforts during the past year.

Details about the award categories and criteria can be found here, along with a printable version of the nomination form. Nominations can also be made through our website by using this new online form

ARCH is also announcing that they are accepting nominations to this year’s Endangered Buildings List for Allen County. This list, maintained since 1992, draws awareness to historic structures in Allen County that are threatened by neglect, vacancy, changing use or new development. If there is a property you would like to see on this list, send your nomination to ARCH at akern@archfw.org, use our online form, or mail it to 818 Lafayette Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. ARCH is accepting nominations until March 6, 2017.

ARCH will announce the ARCHie Award recipients and 2017 Endangered Buildings List at a reception held in May.
