We hope you are all well and safe in this challenging time. We have important news to share with you.
ARCH Inc. has decided to stand on the side of public health and safety and make the difficult and responsible decision not to offer its annual Historic Home & Garden Tour this year.
It will be the first year in decades that ARCH and one of our historic districts will not share the heritage and history of one of our lovely neighborhoods with the people of our community.
It’s also a year when our partner neighborhood will be looking for other sources of funds for its projects and ARCH’s budget will be coming up several thousand dollars short. We can and will reschedule the tour for next year (we hope), but we still need to raise the funds to replace the operating funds we would have earned this year with the tour.
So we ask our friends and supporters — who we know are already reaching out to help where they can during this pandemic crisis — to also consider your neighborhood association (they all deserve your support) and ARCH when you are able to give. Every gift, even small ones, makes a difference now.
ARCH is working on alternative programming to continue to serve our community. Our work as advocates, educators and historic preservationists continues and will be needed long after this crisis is behind us. Historic preservation makes economic sense and will be a valuable tool as our communities recover from the economic disruption of the pandemic. And the enjoyment and pride we all feel in our community’s heritage investment of historic places is a powerful antidote to the social disruption we all are struggling with right now. Let’s protect it now and in the future!
ARCH continues its work, and your support is more important than ever.
We will soon be rolling out new, easier ways to give to ARCH, but you can always visit our website at archfw.org to make a gift.
Thank you now and always for your support.
