As a prelude to our exclusive A.C. Wermuth Home Tour ARCH will hold a free public lecture presented by Brian Conway! This lecture will focus on mid-century modern architecture and the Saarinen’s at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art on Friday, October 6th at 6:30 pm. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided!
Conway is the Michigan State Historic Preservation Officer and the co-author of the award-winning book Michigan Modern: Design that Shaped America. Conway has lectured across the country on topics related to modernism and historic preservation. His work on modernism won a national advocacy award in 2016 from Docomomo US. This lecture has been made possible with support from the Cornelius O’Brien Lecture Series.
In addition to this lecture, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art exhibit on midcentury architect Louis Kahn will be open late for lecture attendees to view the exhibit at museum pricing.
