Historic Preservation

By the Numbers

By Connie Haas Zuber, executive director of ARCH

A frisson of different anticipatory excitement, something very nice to feel these days, animates this post on ARCH’s website.

It marks the first-ever alternative presentation of an ARCH Fun & Free Lecture Series event going up online as a short movie. Consider yourself a red-carpet guest as the premiere (at whatever time works for you!) of ARCH’s “Historic Preservation: By the Numbers.”

Our hope is that you will invest a little more than 20 minutes watching this lecture, which is condensed down from the nearly-an-hour we would have devoted to it live, because it’s an important topic. It’s also an interesting one, and you’ll have some good conversation fodder after viewing it as well as some impressively big numbers to cite about what this place we call home is worth.

I don’t want to give too much away (I do hope you will watch it!), and I invite you to email me with questions or ideas at director@archfw.org or call the ARCH office at 260-426-5117.

Without further ado, here’s the link:

Our lectures are a key part of ARCH’s community education programming, which is supported by funding from Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne and the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. We want to thank both of them for their support.
